I live in Kansas City MO. I'm 31 years old, married, 1 kid and 1 dog. I've been a musician for 15 years and have been recording music for 14 years. My brother and I are thought we'd make it big and then start a awesome record label. That didn't work out so well, so we are building our recording studio and record label the hard way. We own a building downtown KC and are building a 5000 sqft recording studio on the top floor. I had a 3000 sqft recording studio, but it is currently being converted to a music venue. When that project is completed I'll begin construction on my new recording studio. In the mean time, I record in my house or remotely on location. My church is also a great place to record. My favorite Microphones are AKG c414s. They are amazing on everything. I also use AKG SolidTube, neuman KM184NIs and some random hodge-podge of lesser but useful microphones. (shure57s,58s, B1, Avlex condensers and drum mics) I currently record from a A&H GL2400 board to a Digi 003 rack. I use PT 7.3 with the producers pack giving me 48 analog tracks to mix from. I use a big bad quad core 2.66ghz Mac Pro with 5gb or ram and 2.5 TB of Hard drive space. If I record at my building, I have a SoundCraft 2400 series console that use. Its my favorite desk of all time. Google it if you don't know it. When i finish my new recording studio, this will be my main desk. I also have a sweet baby grand and a Hammond with a lesley cab for those who prefer the real thing. As far a genre, I prefer any music that requires real talent to produce. I have done bluegrass, rap, gospel, punk, soul, choral, big band, screamo, rock, alternative (when it really was alternative), country, folk and classical. I don't do lame, but I'll do silly. I don't do crude, but I'll do fun. I don't do hurtful, but I'll do heartfelt. I don't do irrational, but I'll do emotional. I hope that makes since. I have a studio partnership with Disc Makers and a few other CD mastering/duplicator companies. I can fully master and produce a CD or just record the raw waves. Whatever your needs be. I charge $45/hr for whatever I'm doing.
