JyveTheory

Jyve Theory is a three piece from Clemson, South Carolina. The band’s music has been described as progressive jam rock with touches of jazz, blues, and funk. Focusing on experimentation on stage and a diverse set list, Jyve Theory provides a comfortable blend of covers and original compositions. Formed in 2005, the group’s emphasis has always been to write catchy yet unique songs ranging from ten plus minute instrumental compositions to short melodic Beatles-esque tunes. While group leaders Seth Marcus and Jye Shafer continuously add new works to their eclectic song list, maintaining a strong live performance has always been the band’s top priority. Jyve Theory has been performing regularly since its creation over three years ago. In spring 2008, the band performed at Clemson University’s Solid Orange Festival, sharing the stage with Wyclef Jean, The Wailers, The Movement, Colbie Caillat, and other national touring acts.
