Paul Munger has been playing trombone since he was 8 years old. He has studied with Lisa Blodgett of the 23rd army band and is currently studying with Russel McKinny, the bass trombone of the Utah Symphony. Paul Munger has played with groups such as the Utah Youth Symphony, the Granite Youth Symphony, the Jordan Youth Symphony, and the Taylorsville Community Orchestra. He was awarded the Semper Fidelis award from his high school band teacher Gary Jensen, and was awarded the Most Valuable Brass Player from Clint Frohm of the Granite Youth Symphony. He also received his music letter all three years he attended Taylorsville High School. Durning his three years a Tayllorsville High he played in 11 musicals. He has played and worked with Gregg Bissonette, John Beasley, Rashawn Ross, Wayne Bergeron, Scott Wilson, Ron Blake, Rodney Jones, Bobby Rock, Neil Zaza, Jeff Coffin, Jeremy Pelt, Rick Schmunk, Virgil Donati, Conrad Herwig, Geoffrey Keezer, Brian Bromberg, Wycliffe Gordon, Carl Allen, Ben Wolfe, Benny Green, Ryan Gardner, Mark Broschinsky (former member of the Synergy Brass Quintet), The Dallas Brass -(Michael Levine, Brian Neal, D.J. Barraclouch, Chris Castellanos, Nat Mcintosh, Jeff Handel)- Greg Floor, Denson Angulo , Jay Lawrence, Junya Yamamoto, Kevin Hicks, Jason Roberts, Nate Anderson, Eryn Oft, Mike Oft, Bruce Woodward, Dr. Elaine Jorgensen, Dr. Steve Meredith, John Kavanagh (Skavanagh of MU330), David Mcmillin, Dave Hagergty, Aaron Kiser, Jessica Sonnar, Mark Pagano, and Joey Baledi (of Blue Collar Special and Youth Brigade). He is currently studying music at snow college.
